KC's Country Inn

I realize this is a one star joint and by most metrics it likely deserves a two, but this place has been perfect. I made a run up to Ottawa to go snowmobiling with my daughter (she attends university here). This place is right on the trails and has two has stations right next door. Fueling our sleds in the morning couldn't be easier. They have trail maps on the restaurant and they even advertise in it - supporting my past time. The room isn't fancy by any means. Do you like a magnetic key? Nope. Old school. Do you enjoy a view from the window? Mine was the large propane tank out back. So you enjoy hot water with great water pressure? Absolutely! None of those old school water save taps here. And a full size tank on the toilet floor hauling that half price breakfast (for hotel tenants) away. Old school ceiling fan on the bathroom. Makes me forget that the grout could use some scrubbing. My paranoid daughter did the bedbug check and it was good. Lol. And the place is honest! I paid through Expedia and they accidently charged me again when I got here. I didn't have to chase them, they came to me when I was here for breakfast and gave me the refund. Didn't have to ask. And my half price breakfast of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon, home fries and toast was 8.50. I would give this place a full 5 stars except the bed was sort of lousy. There are two in the room and in here alone so I'll try the other one tonight.

The rooms are clean , calm atmosphere and friendly staff. April served the breakfast, she was really nice 10/10 service.I really liked the breakfast . I recommend this place :)

I can’t speak to the quality of the stay or the room, but what I can say is the owners of the restaurant were incredibly kind and let me use the washroom without buying anything when the gas station next-door had their washroom out of order. Anyone who is that kind and compassionate seems like a great place to stay/visit. Thank you!!

This is my resturaunt of choice when travelling to or from Ottawa to Montreal. The service is great the good is excellent. I recommend it all the way

Okay, the hallways can definitely use Re-carpeting/flooring and it would improve the hotel so much. Besides that - it was fantastic! Comfortable, wifi was strong, very clean inside the rooms. And the service…. I spent 3 nights there visiting family and The gals that I dealt with (4 different ones for different reasons or on different days) were all fantastic. So very kind!! And when you see the same locals come for breakfast every day, you know you’re in for some good food and that did not disappoint!! 50% off your breakfast and it was so delicious and generous portions!! 10/10 and will be back.

After being turned away at a hotel where we had an ACTUAL reservation, KCs welcomed us, last minute, with friendly smiles and enthusiasm. When we first saw the hotel and the room we would be staying in, we were skeptical bc, yes, it is a bit outdated and the carpets are old. But the big King bed with clean sheets, and the crisp AC were excellent! The bathroom was clean and the refrigerator had lots of space for all our food. We stayed for 3 nights and would recommend this place, at a fair and decent price.

Staff was friendly, rooms amazing, and breakfast was phomonial. I was a little worried at first reading old reviews, but the hotel has a strict no smoking indoors policy, so I'm very happy that the room was clean and smelled fresh. I was very happy with my stay and would recommend

Rather enjoyable stay, and dog friendly, which my big 140lb Rottweiler was grateful for (big gentle teddy bear of a tank). The rooms are small, but comfortable. The dining room (when it was open) was decent, but wish it had more extended hours, as food choices nearby are limited, and from experience, not very good. Over all, it's a decent stop-over. Been twice, and will probably stay again in the future.
